TRANSPARENCY POLICIES
As insurance brokers, at ASCENTIEL INTERNATIONAL, S.L. we use websites and other remote communication techniques to offer or compare insurance products.
In order to comply with the provisions of Article 134 of Royal Decree-Law 3/2020, of 4 February, on urgent measures, which incorporates into the Spanish legal system various European Union directives in the field of public procurement in certain sectors; private insurance; pension plans and funds; tax and tax litigation, this document sets out our internal policy in this area.
1.- Criteria used for the selection and comparison of insurance companies' products
We carry out an analysis of a sufficient number of insurance contracts offered in the market, comparing their coverage and exclusions, all their conditions, as well as insurance premiums, selecting those that provide the most appropriate contracts to cover the needs and interests of our clients.
When carrying out this analysis, we assess the internal processes of the insurance companies, both when contracting and managing the contract, paying special attention to the procedures they have in place for the management of claims (valuation, professionals, response times, economic settlements, etc.).
2.- Insurance companies and contractual relationship
Our relations with insurance companies arising from the insurance distribution activity are governed by agreements that we freely agree, without these being able to affect our independence under any circumstances. The commercial contracts that we sign with insurance companies are called "Letters of Conditions".
The entities with which our clients formalize their insurance contracts according to the type of insurance subscribed are the following:
- AXA SEGUROS GENERALES, S. A. DE SEGUROS Y REASEGUROS (C-0723): Automobile insurance (compulsory civil liability, voluntary civil liability insurance, defence and claim for damages and legal defence) and Accident insurance (death and disability of the driver).
- ARAG SE SUCURSAL EN ESPAÑA (E-0210): Travel assistance to the vehicle and its occupants.
- GES, SEGUROS Y REASEGUROS, S.A. (C-0089): Assistance insurance for vehicle punctures and damage to tires.
- PREVENTIVA, CIA. DE SEGUROS Y REASEGUROS, S.A. (C-0155): Death insurance.
3.- Remuneration
The remuneration we receive from insurance companies for our insurance distribution activity is in the form of commissions.
This amount is part of the external management costs of the insurance companies, and is included in the insurance premium paid by the customer to the insurance company.
4.- Price guarantee
The price listed in the offer is fully guaranteed.
5.- Updating information
The analysis of the insurance contracts offered, as well as the insurance companies selected and the amounts of the premiums are updated annually, taking the month of January of each year as a reference.
6.- General warning
The information contained in these transparency policies does not constitute a contractual recommendation, and the perfection of the insurance relationship is deferred to the subscription of the policy with the insurance company and the payment of the premium that the customer wishes to contract.
It is noted that if the content of the policy differs from the insurance proposal or the agreed clauses, the policyholder may claim from the insurance company within one month from the delivery of the policy to correct the existing divergence. If this period has elapsed without making the claim, the provisions of the policy will apply. (Article 8 Law 50/1980 of 8 October, on Insurance Contracts).
