WHAT ARE COOKIES?
This website, owned by ASCENTIEL INTERNATIONAL, S.L. (hereinafter "the web" or "website"), uses cookies and/or similar technologies. These are tools used by Web servers to store and retrieve information about their visitors, as well as to ensure the proper functioning of the site. The use of these devices allows the Web server to remember certain information concerning the user, such as their preferences for viewing the pages of that server, name and password, products that interest them most, etc.
The user can configure their browser to notify and reject the installation of cookies sent by the web, without this prejudicing the possibility of accessing the contents of said web, but the quality of operation of the website may decrease.
COOKIES AFFECTED BY REGULATIONS AND EXEMPTED COOKIES
According to Directive 2002/58/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of July 12, 2002, concerning the processing of personal data and the protection of privacy in the electronic communications sector (Directive on privacy and electronic communications), the cookies that require informed consent by the user are analytics, advertising, and affiliation cookies...
Session, input, user authentication or identification cookies, security cookies, media player cookies, load balancing cookies, user interface customization cookies, and plug-in cookies for exchanging social content are considered exempted cookies.
TYPES OF COOKIES
Depending on the entity that manages the equipment or domain from which the cookies are sent and processes the data obtained, we can distinguish:
- Own cookies: Those for which the publisher itself is responsible and which, generally, are sent to the user's terminal equipment from a computer or domain managed by the publisher itself and from which the service requested by the user is provided.
- Third-party cookies: Those for which an entity other than the publisher is responsible and which, generally, are sent to the user's terminal equipment from a computer or domain that is not managed by the publisher, but by another entity that processes the data obtained through the cookies.
Depending on the purpose for which the data obtained through the cookies is processed, some of the purposes can be:
- Technical cookies: Those that allow the user to navigate through a web page, platform, or application and use the different options or services that exist therein, including those that the editor uses to allow the management and operation of the web page and enable its functions and services.
- Preference or personalization cookies: Those that allow information to be remembered so that the user accesses the service with certain characteristics that may differentiate their experience from that of other users, such as, for example, the language, the number of results to display when the user performs a search, the appearance or content of the service depending on the type of browser through which the user accesses the service or the region from which they access the service, etc.
- Analysis or measurement cookies: Those that allow the person responsible for them to track and analyze the behavior of the users of the websites to which they are linked, including the quantification of the impacts of the advertisements. The information collected through this type of cookies is used in measuring the activity of the websites, application, or platform, in order to introduce improvements based on the analysis of the usage data made by the users of the service.
- Advertising cookies: Those that allow the management, in the most efficient way possible, of the advertising spaces that, where appropriate, the publisher has included on a web page, application, or platform from which it provides the requested service based on criteria such as the edited content or the frequency at which the ads are shown.
- Behavioral advertising cookies: They collect information about the user's preferences and personal choices (retargeting) to allow the management, in the most efficient way possible, of the advertising spaces that, where appropriate, the publisher has included on a web page, application, or platform from which it provides the requested service.
Depending on the retention period, we distinguish between:
- Session cookies: They are a type of cookies designed to collect and store data while the user accesses a web page.
- Persistent cookies: They are a type of cookies in which the data is still stored in the terminal and can be accessed and processed over a period defined by the person responsible for the cookie, which can range from a few minutes to several years.
